I Still Remain Anambra South Senator – Ifeanyi Ubah

Ifeanyi Ubah has reacted to a Federal High Court judgement upholding an earlier verdict to nullify his election as Senator representing Anambra South senatorial district.

Odunews.com had earlier reported that a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja upheld the sack of Ifeanyi Ubah from the senate

Reacting to the news of his sack, Ifeanyi Ubah insists that he has not been sacked and he still remains the Senator elect representing Anambra South.

He said the FCT Court only refused to vacate its earlier ruling, which had since been faulted on the grounds of jurisdiction.

He explained that Justice Bello Kawu ruled on an application to vacate an earlier judgement of the court on the grounds of lack of jurisdiction and asked the parties to proceed to the Appeal Court.

He said, “The reports of my sacking from the Senate is not correct. I remain the substantive Senator representing Anambra South.”
