Entries are now being accepted for the seventh edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) and African filmmakers are being urged to participate.
The announcement was made today (November 13, 2019) by Africa Magic in conjunction with MultiChoice Nigeria, and John Ugbe, CEO of the company, said that the AMVCAs represent a significant investment in African film and television industry and that revenues are increased and jobs created each year to cater to the opportunities presented in areas such as fashion, styling, photography, and makeup.
The AMVCAs were created to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of African filmmakers, actors, and technicians in the continent’s film and television industry and the seventh edition will hold in March 2020.
Channel Director, Africa Magic, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, noted the progress in the industry and said the AMVCAs was still Africa’s most prestigious awards.
