Officials of the Department of State Security Service have allegedly shot at protesters and journalist demanding for the release of the convener of the #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore.
The DSS were caught on camera spraying teargas and shooting at journalists covering the protest.
The officers of the DSS, in a bid to disperse the protesting crowd, shot sporadically.
Guardian reporter, Oludare Richard, sustained serious injuries during the encounter, while other Journalists had their cars’ tyres deflated with some smashed by the DSS operational vans.
