A Human Capital Development plan geared towards lifting about 24 million Nigerians out of poverty by 2030 has been initiated by the Federal Government and the Nigeria Governor’s Forum (NGF).
The announcement was made yesterday in Abuja by the NGF in a statement by Mr. Abdulrazaque Bello-Barkindo, Head of Media and Public Affairs.
Bello-Barkinde said the initiative was a joint venture between the forum and the Office of the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. According to him, the process commenced on Monday in Kaduna State, culminating in Ekiti State on Thursday.
Human capital is the stock of habits, knowledge, social and personal attributes embodied in the ability to perform labour to produce economic value. It is unique and differs from any other capital. It is needed for people to achieve goals, develop and remain innovative.
