Anthony Mackie is the optimist with a plan and Samuel L. Jackson is the skeptical ally in The Banker trailer.
The official trailer shows the reluctant Jackson team up with Mackie’s character (whose goal is to buy a bank) and it seems the lines are laced with witty and funny dialogue.
The pairing of Mackie and Jackson seems to result in the kind of partnership that is as hilarious as it is annoying and Nicolas Hoult joins the bandwagon as the naïve fellow conspirator.
The Banker is the true story of two African American entrepreneurs, Bernard Garret (Mackie) and Joe Morris (Jackson), who during the 1950s recruit a working-class white man, Matt Steiner (Hoult) to help them in their business venture while they pose as janitor and chauffeur.
The film is directed by George Nolfi and stars Anthony Mackie, Samuel L. Jackson, Nicolas Hoult, and Nia Long. It will be in theaters on December 6.
