Nollywood star Kate Henshaw has been honored during the weekend at the Africa International Film Festival Globe Awards.
Henshaw won the Best Female Performer at the award ceremony for portraying Officer Folake Stainless in Akin Omotosho’s The Ghost and the House of Truth.
The dark-skinned actress wasn’t present at the event, so the award had to be taken by Kemi Lala Akindoju on her behalf. The movie also won awards for Best Director and Best Nigerian Film.
Henshaw was ecstatic when she got to know of her award win and reacted with the words: “My Jesus!!!!!! Oh my word!!!! I am just gobsmacked!! Thanks …”

The Ghost and the House of Truth revolves around Henshaw’s character determined to solve a murder case while dealing with the physical and emotional demands of her pregnancy.
It was produced by Ego Boyo’s Temple Production and directed by Akin Omotosho.
