WhatsApp Now Open To Hackers Who Take Advantage Of Security Flaw Via MP4 File
Security flaw now gives hackers access to unsuspecting targets

WhatsApp is now prey to hackers courtesy of a security vulnerability that targets victims using a specially-crafted MP4 file.

The security flaw only affects older versions of the social media app for Android and iPhone and gives hackers a cyberattack vector.

Users should guard against downloading any MP4 file sent to them on WhatsApp as hackers are liable to use the flaw to initiate a snooping attack on both Android and iOS devices.

The specially-made MP4 file triggers the Remote Code Execution (RCE) and Denial of Service (DOS) cyber attack. Users are advised to update their WhatsApp to avoid being targets.
