Frozen 2 hasn’t been seen by many but it is already shaping up to be one of Disney’s most impactful animated movies as it leads the 47th Annie Awards (alongside Laika’s Missing Link).
Frozen 2 and Missing Link have the most nominations and will battle it out for the Best Animated Feature with DreamWorks’ How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, Netflix’s Klaus, and Pixar’s Toy Story 4.
The Annie Awards will take place on January 25, 2020, at UCLA’s Royce Hall and DreamWorks Animation as a studio has the most nominations (18), followed by Disney with 16. Netflix dominates overall with 39 nominations.
Klaus has seven nominations while I Lost My Body from Netflix has six, including Best Independent Feature.
Frozen 2 is nominated in the categories of direction (Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck), writing (Lee), voice acting (Josh Gad as Olaf), music, FX, character animation, and character design.
