Comic actor Kevin Hart has joined the cast of Action Scene, an upcoming action thriller series from Quibi.
Action Scene will feature a lot of comedy as well and is written by Derek Kolstad, the writer of John Wick, with Lin Oeding at the directorial helm.
The official plot description is given as:
Hart will portray a fictionalized version of himself on a quest to land the action-movie role of a lifetime. After being rejected for the role, Kevin randomly encounters a leading A-List action movie director. Their meeting inadvertently sets off a chain of events that forces Hart to fight his way through a series of over-the-top action sequences with the help of some of Hollywood’s biggest action movie heroes.
Sounds like it’s going to be a fun series packed with action with leading man Hart taking fans to new levels of comedy. It’ll be interesting to see the comedian portray himself (even if it’s a fictionalized version) and audiences know what to expect from him when it comes to the action department (see Jumanji for that!).
Kevin Hart was recently honored with his hands and feet imprinted in front of the famous TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
