Some Nigerians have taken to social media to react to the ruling of Justice Egwuatu of the Federal High Court in Kano in dismissing a case filed against Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
Odunews.com reports that the case was dismissed by the Judge on the basis of lack of ‘cogent and verifiable’ evidence.
Recall that an online news platform, DailyNigerian, in October 2018 released videos showing the Kano state Governor allegedly receiving kickbacks from contractors.
A Kano based lawyer, Bulama Bukarti had approached the court seeking an order to the EFCC to provide a report of its forensic investigation analysis of the said video allegedly showing Ganduje receiving bribe from an unknown contractor.
The dismissal of the case by the Kano Federal High Court has stirred reactions from Nigerians as most see the ruling as not been fair.

When @OfficialPDPNig was in power, the courts cldn't find anything on a James Ibori. Now @OfficialAPCNg is in power, a High Court absolves @officialEFCC from responsibility for investigating manifest official wrongdoing. #WindVaneJurisprudence is real!https://t.co/qDZaA9ei9v

Although the Ganduje's suit dismissed was the one requesting EFCC to release a forensic report of the alleged 'bribe-taking' videos of Ganduje, that is just the beginning of the end of the bribe allegations. After all, Ganduje is still loyal to Buhari and the 'cabals'

This Ganduje story is one prime example of the ignorance on this app. But beyond ignorance is the deliberate decision by some to be obtuse

The court that hammered former CJN Walter Onnoghe over non disclosure of his assets, has freed Kano State governor Ganduje, who was filmed pocketing bribe in dollars. Meaning, that, the law is not applicable same… https://t.co/7jo1jSbbCG

This type of Court ruling on Ganduje is one of the reasons why I don’t pity the Judiciary. The executive can f@ck and shit on their heads I don’t bloody care.
Moreover,Gen Buhari has told us that they were yet to find out the technology used in video that went viral.
