American rapper and actor Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson is executive producing Trill League, an animated black superhero series for streaming platform .

The announcement was made today by Quibi and the upcoming show is based on the graphic novel of the same name.

According to the statement from Quibi, Trill League centers on a league of black superheroes “tasked with saving the world from supervillains, monsters, and haters of all kinds in an era of injustice and internet trolls.”

The graphic novel was written by and combined three distinct cultures of comic books, anime, and hip hop. The series is co-created and written by and Anthony Piper with 3 Arts Entertainment and G-Unit Television along with Lionsgate Television producing.
