The official release dates for Keanu Reeves’ movies Matrix 4 and John Wick 4 have been confirmed, and it is the ultimate box office showdown.
Keanu Reeves became famous for his role as Neo, the hero in The Matrix saga and since then his Hollywood career soared, leading to more prominent features in different films.
What many didn’t see coming was the way the actor’s movie career started to dwindle, and for a time it was like he was lost in oblivion. That changed with the 2014 movie John Wick, in which Reeves plays a skilled hitman who is out for blood after his dog is killed.
Since then, Reeves’ career experienced a renaissance and his fame has reached an all-time high. Perhaps capitalizing on this fact, the producers saw an opportunity to make a sequel to the Matrix movies and since the John Wick franchise is equally doing great, plans for a fourth movie went into high gear.
Now, it has been confirmed that Reeves will fight himself at the box office because both Matrix 4 and John Wick 4 have the same release date. Yep, you heard that right! Both movies will hit theaters on May 21, 2021.
The news is exciting as fans will get a double dose of the famous actor by getting the chance to see his two latest movies on the same day as both films battle for supremacy at the box office.
The good thing about it all is that whichever film dominates, it’ll still be a win for Reeves.
