Leigh Bardugo’s bestselling book Shadow and Bone has been adapted as a fantasy series on Netflix.
The project which has been greenlit at Netflix has already acquired its cast members which include Calahan Skogman, Zoe Wanamaker, Kevin Eldon, Julian Kostov, Luke Pasqualino, Jasmine Blackborow, and Gabrielle Brooks.
The above-named actors join the likes of Ben Barnes, Freddy Carter, Jessie Mei Li, Archie Renaux, Amita Suman, Kit Young, Sujaya Dasgupta, Danielle Galligan, Daisy Head, and Simon Sears.
Shadow and Bone is set in a world “cleaved in two by a massive barrier of perpetual darkness, where unnatural creatures feast on human flesh. A young soldier uncovers a power that finally might unite her country, but as she struggles to hone her power, dangerous forces plot against her. Thugs, thieves, assassins, and saints are at war now, and it will take more than magic to survive.”
The series will come in eight parts and a release date hasn’t been set yet.
