Actor Peter Sarsgaard is set to play an unidentified role in The Batman as revealed by the director, Matt Reeves.
The filmmaker made the revelation on his Twitter handle as Sarsgaard becomes the latest addition of the ensemble cast in what has already become DC’s most highly-anticipated movie.

According to speculations, Sarsgaard is most likely set to play the role of Two-Face, but THR reports indicate the possibility of him playing a corrupt cop or a district attorney. Both possibilities are still on the table as they have neither been denied nor confirmed.
Sarsgaard portrayed the secondary antagonist in DC’s movie Green Lantern (2011) and though it was both a critical and commercial failure, the actor’s performance was praised by some and his delivery in the films is featured has never been below expectations.
John Peter Sarsgaard is an American actor who has appeared in several independent movies and whose portrayal of Charles Lane in Shattered Glass got him the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Sarsgaard first got a prominent role in The Man in the Iron Mask (1998) and he has also appeared in Jarhead (2005), Black Mass (2015), and The Magnificent Seven (2016).
