Warner Bros. has announced the release date for their upcoming superhero film The Flash.
Set to continue the story of Barry Allen (played by the returning Ezra Miller), The Flash is directed by Andy Muschietti with a screenplay from Joby Harold, Gardner Fox, and Harry Lampert being considered at one point. It hasn’t been confirmed if their draft will be the official screenplay.
Warner Bros. Studio announced yesterday that the release date of the movie is July 1, 2022. That should give the production team ample time to get things rolling so as to meet up with the schedule.
Ezra Miller’s take on the speedster will be the central focus when the film hits theaters as Grant Gustin’s portrayal in the CW series has won him fans worldwide.
The Flash stars Ezra Miller, Kiersey Clemons, and Billy Crudup and at a time, it was rumored that the Flashpoint story from the comics would be adapted for the plot.
In the Flashpoint saga, Barry Allen goes back in time using the speed force to stop his mother from being murdered. We have seen that play out in the CW series and the producers ought to come up with something new and more appealing.
One thing is for sure, the fastest man in the DC Universe will lure a lot of superhero fans to the theaters when the movie arrives.
