Amy Adams is a woman who must prove that what she saw was real in an ongoing criminal investigation.
Everyone has something to hide in The Woman in the Window, a mystery thriller from Joe Wright based on the 2018 novel of the same name by A.J. Finn.
The plot is about a woman (Adams) who is agoraphobic (an anxiety disorder) and ends up being a key witness in what appears to be a homicidal case.
Given her medical history and continuous dependence on drugs, the protagonist finds that she is up against more than she sees as the forces at work are more devious than she anticipated.
If trailers accurately tease what is to come, then The Woman in the Window will be one good mystery tale as the scenes that are briefly shown are intriguing and suspenseful.
The movie stars Amy Adams, Gary Oldman, Anthony Mackie, Brian Tyree Henry, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Julianne Moore. It will be released on May 15, 2020.
