Willem Dafoe and his sled dogs race to the rescue in Disney’s adventure movie Togo.
Streaming on Disney + on the 20th of December, 2019, Togo is the true story of inspiring courage and total devotion. Set in 1925, it centers on what was called the Great Race of Mercy in which dog-sled teams were used to transport a serum through harsh weather conditions over 700 miles to save an Alaskan town from an epidemic.
Dafoe is the dog-sled trainer who believes that the leader of his dog pack, Togo, has what it takes to make the daunting and daring rescue. It’s a battle against the elements in what could probably spell doom for both dog and man.
Togo is directed by Ericson Core and co-stars Julianne Nicholson, Christopher Heyerdahl, and Michael Gaston.
