A young couple gets more than they bargain for when they inspect a new house in a place that ends up messing with their minds.
It takes a lot to mess with the mind and there is a lot of that in the trailer for Vivarium, a science fiction thriller directed by Lorcan Finnegan.
Jesse Eisenberg and Imogen Poots star as the couple who move to a place called ‘Yonder’ to purchase a new house. It is marketed as a place that caters to their every need and wants and it looks so tranquil but it’s not exactly what they want. Moreover, the agent creeps them out.
The unexpected happens when on their way out, they find out that they seem to be going in an endless loop, trapping them in the strange environment.
Staring ‘imprisonment’ in the face, they have no choice but to start living in one of the houses and soon, they start to lose their grip on reality as the eerie place starts to get to them.
Things take an even more bizarre turn when a baby is dropped on their doorstep with a strange message: ‘Raise the child and be released.’
From the above description of the trailer, Vivarium appears to be a nerve-wracking and suspenseful film with mind-bending twists. Fans of such movies will get a kick out of this one.
The movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year and was acquired by Saban Films for distribution. It stars Jesse Eisenberg, Imogen Poots, Jonathan Aris, Danielle Ryan, and Senan Jennings.
