The search for a cure leads to the discovery of something sinister in the teaser trailer for Morbius.
From Marvel Entertainment and Sony Pictures comes the story of Michael Morbius (Jared Leto). Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, the upcoming film is directed by Daniel Espinosa and produced by Columbia Pictures.
Dr. Morbius is a man who is ill with a rare blood disorder. He is determined not to let others suffer the same fate and risks a dangerous process, hoping to be cured.
What appears to be successful soon turns out to be even worse than the disease and the antihero becomes afflicted with a case of vampirism.
The teaser trailer shows that we have something that could be really interesting coming as the depiction of the titular character’s new abilities (speed, eco-location, and others) is unique in that it’s a fresh perspective of a vampire’s powers.
Lead actor Leto is no stranger to portraying strange characters as he did something similar in Suicide Squad (where he played the Joker). So, he looks to be an easy fit here.
Morbius also stars Matt Smith, Tyrese Gibson, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, and Al Madrigal. It will be released on July 31, 2020.
