Acclaimed filmmaker Ron Howard has been tapped by Paramount Pictures to direct The Fixer, an action thriller.
An American director and actor, Howard rose to prominence as a child actor, featuring in different television series, including an episode of The Twilight Zone.
His films include Cocoon (1985), Willow (1988), A Beautiful Mind (2001), and Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018).
Howard’s production company Imagine Entertainment will produce the upcoming film along with Bradley Cooper and Todd Phillips’ Joint Effort.
The Fixer is based on the incredible true story of a disgraced FBI agent who at the height of the Cold War is given an assignment by the CIA to lead a team of CIA operatives and Chicago mobsters on a mission to assassinate Fidel Castro.
Tyler Hisel is behind the script for the movie and sources have confirmed to Variety that the production is a top priority for Paramount as they are depending on Howard’s skills behind the camera to help make something remarkable.
