Actor Nicolas Hoult has gotten his next dangerous mission and will star alongside Tom Cruise in the upcoming Mission: Impossible film.
Hoult is known for portraying Hank McCoy (a.k.a. Beast) in the X-Men movie franchise and also starred in Bryan Singer’s Jack the Giant Slayer (2013).
Hoult’s role in the upcoming action thriller is currently unknown but he is expected to play a villain as Tom Cruise gets set to return as the death-defying Agent Ethan Hunt in the seventh installment of the popular series.
Odu News discovered that Hoult was originally approached to play the son of Cruise’s character in Top Gun: Maverick due in theaters this summer but for one reason or the other it didn’t work out.
Hoult’s meeting with Cruise obviously left an impression on the older and more experienced actor and this led to the former’s involvement in the Mission Impossible sequel.
The release date for the upcoming project has been slated for July 23, 2021, by Paramount and Skydance and an eight part is also planned with a schedule of it arriving cinemas on August 5, 2022.
