A public memorial service in honor of the late basketball icon Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianni begins today February 24, 2020, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The NBA announced last week that a limited number of supporters will be able to attend the celebration of the life of the deceased sportsman.
The memorial starts today and members of the public will have to register to purchase tickets. Those registered will be notified if they’ve been invited to participate in the public ticket release.
Ticket sales cost $224 each, with proceeds to go to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.
It’s been almost three weeks since Kobe, Gianni, and the rest perished in the helicopter crash and many tributes and monuments have been erected across the city of Los Angeles and southern California to honor them.
