Filmmaker Michael Bay is producing an action movie titled Little America and legendary action star Sylvester Stallone has been tapped to star.
Drawing inspiration from John Carpenter’s 1988 action science-fiction Escape From New York, the movie is set in a dystopian future where America has become bankrupt having being turned into a war zone.
Stallone is set to portray a former Army Ranger paid by a billionaire to find his daughter. With the assistance of the highly skilled sister of the missing girl, the hero must transverse the dark underbelly of Little America, a city surrounded by walls in Hong Kong where many Americans have chosen as a place of refuge.
The project is presently in the open market and is pushed forward by Michael Bay and his production company Platinum Dunes.
Little America will start filming this summer and Stallone’s involvement as an actor with vast experience when it comes to such films will play a major factor in the film’s commercial earnings when it is released.
