A video shared online shows Keanu Reeves Neo back with Carrie-Anne Moss’ Trinity as they navigate the city streets on the back of a motorcycle.
At this point, any bit of information on the forthcoming fourth movie in the Matrix franchise we can get our hands on is priceless as plot details are still being closely guarded.
After 17 years, Reeves and Moss are re-united for the shooting of the film. The duo reprises the roles of Neo and Trinity, with a script written by director Lana Wachowski and co-starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen, Jonathan Bruff, Toby Onwumere, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jada Pinkett-Smith.
Laurence Fishburne will not be returning to play Morpheus as speculations point to actor Mateen portraying a younger version of the character.
Reeves and Moss were seen in the streets of San Francisco where filming is currently underway and the video clip shows a long-haired Neo clinging to the back of Trinity as they both make their way across the city at night.
The footage could indicate that Trinity is showing Neo the ropes as she looks to be mentoring him somehow. Her all-black outfit is her signature look when she is the Matrix but Neo’s casual outfit could mean that he is not plugged in.
Fans still have over a year to find out as The Matrix 4 is scheduled for release on May 21, 2021.
