American rapper Pop Smoke has died from gunshot wounds after a home invasion led to his being gunned down.
The 20-year-old hip hop star was killed on Wednesday 19, 2020 and the Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed to Rolling Stone that he passed away shortly after being taken to the hospital.
The LAPD stated that they responded to a call that came in at 4:29 a.m. about a number of individuals who stormed a residence in Hollywood Hills, California and shot a male in his 20s.
Pop Smoke was pronounced dead after being transported to a nearby hospital.
The shooting occurred at the home of Edwin Arroyave, the husband of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills actress Teddi Mellencamp.
The slain rapper’s real name was Bashar Barakah Jackson and he was born on July 20, 1999. He was featured on Gatti with Travis Scott and JackBoys and also collaborated with Nicki Minaj on one of the remixes of his song Welcome to the Party.
