We are still approximately three months away from the release of F9: The Fast Saga but plans are already in motion for its sequel as revealed by actor and producer Vin Diesel.
F9: The Fast Saga will see Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) pay for his past sins as his younger brother Jakob (John Cena) comes with retribution in mind.
The burly brothers will battle it out in a film filled with the ingredients to make an action fan squeal in joy. And not to forget the villainous character played by Charlize Theron, whispering all sorts of foul things to the younger Toretto.
Diesel spoke with Total Film recently and revealed plans for a tenth film, stating that it could be split into two parts.
I started planning for Fast 10 before we started filming Fast 9. Very much so. The universe is so robust and so rich with talent and rich with story that, on one level, it’s totally feasible to have spinoffs, and I think that’s something that is inevitable. Universal deserves it because of how much they’ve invested in this little saga, and it’d be good to give back to Universal. And for the fans, should Fast 10 parts one and two be the conclusion, it would be nice for this world to continue for generations to come.Vin Diesel
Spinoffs in the world of fast guys and faster cars are totally welcome. I mean, with the success of Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw, fans will dig whatever comes next.
Fans can only imagine what a tenth movie has in store for them because as far as we are all concerned, there can never be too much of Dom and his car-driving family!
Directed by Justin Lin and starring Vin Diesel, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Charlize Theron, Tyrese Gibson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Ludacris, and Sung Kang, F9: The Fast Saga accelerates to movie theaters on May 22, 2020.
