Marvel’s Black Widow has had its release date pushed back, no thanks to the COVID-19 outbreak currently sweeping the globe.
Starring Scarlet Johansson, the upcoming superhero film was scheduled to hit movie theaters on May 1, 2020, but has been delayed due to the coronavirus.
Disney has also pulled back The Personal History of David Copperfield (starring Dev Patel) and The Woman in the Window. Both were supposed to be released on May 8 and April 15 respectively.
Mulan has also been affected by release delays, along with The New Mutants and Antlers. The studio had held off postponing Black Widow hoping it wouldn’t have to, but in the end, the decision had to be made owing to movie theaters in many states (including New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Washington) closing down.
Other studios have also pulled back movie releases, among which are Universal’s F9: The Fast Saga (with Vin Diesel), MGM’s James Bond film No Time To Die, and Paramount’s A Quiet Place 2.
