An ugly truth threatens to destroy a wealthy family in the trailer for Inheritance.
Starring Lily Collins, Simon Pegg, Chace Crawford, Connie Nielsen, Patrick Warburton, and Michael Beach, Inheritance is an upcoming American thriller directed by Vaughn Stein.
The plot reads:
“The patriarch of a wealthy and powerful political family passes away. He leaves his daughter Lauren an envelope containing directions to a cabin where she finds an imprisoned man, opening the door to secrets that will threaten to unravel and destroy the lives of the family and everyone around them.”
As the trailer shows, Collins looks confident in the lead role of Morgan, the girl who has to bear the weight of her late father’s secret placed unexpectedly on her young shoulders.
Trained by him to be a good player puts her in a position to psychologically evaluate her choices and make the moves she deems best in the interest of her family.
The secret her father left behind happens to be a scary, long-haired stranger whose drawls are even creepier than his looks. Played by Pegg, he appears to have the ability to get under Morgan’s skin.
But the thing about heirlooms is that they could come with inherited enemies as well, and Collins’ character is about to find that out in the most unexpected of ways.
