Director Matt Reeves has confirmed that production for The Batman has been halted.
Due to the spread of COVID-19, a lot of film and television projects have had to be shut down temporarily, movie theaters have been closed, and just about everyone has been advised to stay indoors.
The Batman (starring Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader) was undergoing filming in the United Kingdom when the coronavirus outbreak forced the world to go on a major lockdown.
Warner Bros. had informed the public that production on the DC film would be paused for two weeks, and now filmmaker Matt Reeves has confirmed in a tweet that it has indeed been shut down.
“Yes, we have shut down till it safe for us all to resume… Everyone safe for the moment, thank you for asking, and stay safe too…”

The Batman will reportedly focus more on the detective skills of the titular character, as against him using his gadgets and brawn as seen in earlier movies.
