Kaduna state Government has disclosed that 16 Almajiris transported from Kano have been infected with Coronavirus.

All the cases recorded in the state on Wednesday are the Almajiris who just came in to the state, the state Governor said.
Announcing the state’s COVID-19 case toll on its twitter handle, Governor Nasir El-Rufai said:
“KDSG has confirmed 16 new COVID-19 cases in the state.
“The new cases, all almajiris from Kano, have raised the number of active COVID-19 cases in Kaduna State from 9 to 25.”

Meanwhile the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control reported that the total number of cases in Nigeria has risen to 1,728 as at 11:58 on Wednesday.
