Disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein has reportedly recovered from the coronavirus.
The 68-year-old had just begun his 23-year jail sentence when he tested positive for COVID-19. He was subsequently put in a 14-day quarantine.
DailyMail.com reports that Weinstein has recovered, and this comes as a surprise to those around him.
A source told the news outlet:
“We lost contact with him and were unable to get in touch with him after he tested positive because he was placed in isolation and under quarantine.
He had a fever and cough. The man is in poor health normally speaking, and has multiple pre-existing conditions. Honestly, I was very concerned. I can’t believe he made it through this. I was definitely thinking this would be the end of him.”
Weinstein, who is serving his sentence at the Wende Correctional Facility near Buffalo in New York, believes he contracted the virus before he entered the facility.
