COVID-19: ‘The Batman’, ‘The Flash’, Others Get New Release Dates

Owing to the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, DC has changed the release dates of a few of its movies, and other studios have followed suit.

With its production currently halted, Matt ReevesThe Batman will no longer be released on June 25, 2021, but rather on October 1, 2021. Reeves had earlier said that the plan was to resume production in London immediately it was safe to do so. A quarter of the movie scenes have been filmed and the director is currently sifting through the footage.

The Flash will arrive on June 3, 2022 and Shazam 2, which was scheduled for April 1, 2022, has now been moved to November 4, 2022.

Also, the untitled Elvis Presley movie starring Tom Hanks had an initial release date of October 2021, but will now arrive on November 5, 2021 (the same day with Marvel‘s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness).

King Richard, the upcoming drama about the father of tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams with Will Smith playing the aged parent, will now come out a year later on November 19, 2021 instead of November 25, 2020.

Lisa Joy’s sci-fi flick Reminiscence with Hugh Jackman, Thandie Newton and Rebecca Ferguson will arrive on April 16, 2021.
