Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner will write the script for Sony and Avi Arad and Ari Arad of Arad Productions will produce the movie.

One Punch Man, which is very popular in Japan and around the world, follows the story of Saitama, a superhero who can defeat any adversary with a single punch.

Saitama seeks to find a worthy opponent after growing tired of lack of challenges in his fight against evil.

The series was created in 2009 by Japanese artist ONE as a web comic. In a short time, it went viral and in 2012 was published.
