The release date for the sequel to the 2018 award-winning animation Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has been unveiled.

The first film introduced the character of Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) who became anew version of the web-slinging superhero after an encounter with a mutated spider.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse brought something new to the table as it blended a unique style of animation with a wonderful story about discovery, earning it an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
It was also a box office success, grossing $375.5 million globally on a budget of $90 million.
The movie got an approval rating of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, and it wasn’t long that plans for a sequel was revealed.
Per an announcement from the aforementioned movie criticism platform on Twitter, the sequel will arrive on October 7, 2022.
