Thor star Chris Hemsworth has shared new details on the upcoming fourth movie.
Bursting onto the scene as the headstrong god of thunder in the 2011 superhero movie, Hemsworth quickly became one of the most loved Marvel screen heroes as he embodied the character, reprising it in five more films.
The character took a radical departure in his third solo outing when Taika Waititi was brought on board to helm Thor: Ragnarok.
Ragnarok became the best of the Thor films, with Hemsworth showing a comic side that many never knew he had, and director Waititi blending phenomenal action with laugh-out-loud humor.
Loving Waititi’s formula, Marvel Studios retained him to direct a fourth film, which is expected to be even better than its predecessor.
In an interview with The Philadelphia Inquirer, Hemsworth praised the script of Thor: Love and Thunder (the title of the fourth movie), saying it was one of the best scripts he had read in years.
His words:
“It’s Taika at his most extreme and at his best. If the version I read is the one we are running with, it’s going to be pretty insane.
There’s so many great things in it. It’s so over-the-top now, in the very best way. It makes Ragnarok look like a really run-of-the-mill, very safe film.”
Taika added:
“The new film feels like we asked ten-year-olds what should be in a movie, and then we said yes to every single thing.
Space sharks, if you know anything about the comics … That’s all I’m gonna say … Space sharks.”
