A new report has revealed that Henry Cavill will don the red cape again in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).
The British actor helped launch the DCEU with 2013’s Man of Steel, reprising the iconic role in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017).
Cavill’s portrayal of the last son of Krypton earned him mixed reactions from critics, and for a time his future as Superman was in doubt.
Warner Bros. and DC had wanted him to make a cameo in Shazam (2019) but the deal hadn’t worked out. He had insisted that the red cape was still with him and now it looks like he is about to wear it again.
In a new report, Deadline says Cavill is in talks to return as Superman in the DCEU. It is not known in which project he will make his appearance, but according to the report, it will not be in Man of Steel 2, Wonder Woman 1984, The Suicide Squad, or The Batman.
Even though fans don’t know in which film he will play the world’s strongest superhero again, the fact that he will don the cape again is more than enough to excite many fans as his charisma in the role was undeniable.
