In the spirit of love and sharing, rappers T.I. and Killer Mike gave out hundreds of free meals to their needy Atlanta neighbors yesterday, Wednesday May 6, 2020.
According to TMZ, the Atlanta hip hop stars teamed up to serve hot meals to 500 individuals in the city who have felt the adverse impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
T.I. and Killer Mike collaborated with PAWkids, a family enrichment center run by Latonya Gates, to put smiles on the faces of the people in Atlanta’s Grove Park community, serving food from the parking lot at Bankhead Seafood.
Both rappers (who are Grammy Award winners) served the 500 meals, dropping two weeks’ worth of food and hygiene products to needy families, surprising folks as they opened their front doors.
Added to giving them food, T.I. and Killer Mike also gave out $500 cash to some of the households.
The rappers join fellow Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz in giving back to the community.
2 Chainz fed the homeless last week, choosing the noble deed over reopening his ATL restaurants.
