Popular talk show host Steve Harvey has reportedly bought the mansion in which actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry resided for a whopping $15 million.
A source connected to Tyler Perry spoke with TMZ, revealing that the buyers of the Buckhead mansion once owned by the Hollywood heavyweight are Steve Harvey and his wife Marjorie.
“Tyler has a lot of great memories from the house and is happy his friends Steve and Marjorie will be calling it home”, said the source.
The estate rests on 17 acres and is almost 35,000 square feet. It has seven bedrooms and is decked with an underground ballroom, a massive infinity pool with a bar, lighted tennis court, gym, spa, theater, indoor residence pool, wine cellar, and a guest house.
The sprawling property was bought by Perry in 2007 for $9 million. He spent millions more for its renovation, eventually selling it to evangelist and entrepreneur David Turner in 2016 for $17.5 million.
Perry’s properties are frequently been rented by celebrities; Meghan Markle and Prince Harry currently reside in his Los Angeles mansion.
The filmmaker’s massive studio in ATL recently resumed production, with members of the cast and crew undergoing COVID-19 testing and getting quarantined for two and a half weeks while they shoot episodes of television series.
