Katie Miller, the spokesperson of the Vice President of the United States, has tested positive for coronavirus.
The news was confirmed via recent reports from the White House, and comes only 24 hours after one of President Donald Trump‘s personal valets also tested positive for the virus.
Katie Miller herself confirmed that she has contracted the virus and also disclosed to NBC News that she is not experiencing any symptoms.
Katie’s husband is White House senior advisor Stephen Miller. He works closely with both the President and Vice President.
According to a report from CNN, Vice President Pence was en route to Des Moines, Iowa when he was informed about the test results.
Katie was not on board at the time but there were concerns that someone else might have had had the virus if they had been in direct contact with her.
At this point, the U.S. has over a quarter of the total global number of COVID-19 cases as it has become more or less the epicenter of the pandemic.
