In a procedural hearing that didn’t require 44-year-old Chauvin to submit a plea, the Hennepin County District Judge set his bail at $1 million with conditions, and $1.25 million without conditions.

Meeting the conditions would mean Chauvin surrendering his firearms, no longer working in law enforcement or security in any capacity, and having no contact with the Floyd family.
