Due to the recent spoke in COVID-19 cases across the United States, Disney‘s live-action retelling Mulan will now arrive in theaters in August.
Mulan was one of the first movies affected by the pandemic as it was originally scheduled to be released in March 2020.
As the outbreak of the virus impacted the globe, Disney had to move the release date to July 2020.
Now Variety reports that the blockbuster has been shifted yet again amid the concerns over what seems to be a resurgence of the pandemic.
Mulan will now be released on August 21, 2020, a little over a week after Christopher Nolan‘s Tenet comes out.
According to the news outlet, Disney was wary about having Mulan as the first film released in theaters in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.
With it’s budget said to be $200 million, Mulan is expected to make some huge money and the way this can be accomplished is for it to have a strong theatrical run.
