Hugh Jackman is reportedly in talks to star as Enzo Ferrari in the forthcoming biopic from director Michael Mann.
Jackman is easily recognizable for playing Wolverine in the X-Men franchise. He has also taken on many dramatic roles and has won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.
Ferrari is set to begin filming in 2021, with STX handling international sales and distribution in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The project will be presented to buyers by Mann at this year’s Cannes virtual market on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.
Set in the summer of 1957, the movie will focus on how Ferrari risks the future of his company in a brutal road race across Italy.
The original script was written by the late Troy Kennedy Martin based on Brock Yates’ book Enzo Ferrari – The Man and the Machine. The script has been rewritten.
Hugh Jackman was last seen in the comedy drama Bad Education.
