Just over a week after his death, the funeral arrangements for George Floyd have been revealed.
After numerous memorials held to honor him, George Floyd is set to be memorialized in the three cities he lived in his lifetime.
According to NBC News, the first of the three events will hold at the Trask Word and Worship Center at North Carolina University in Minneapolis (the same city he died at the hands of Officer Derek Chauvin).
The above service will be followed by a Saturday memorial in North Carolina, the place where Floyd was born.
Finally, he will be laid to rest on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, after a viewing of his body on Monday. The viewing and service will take place at the Fountain of Grace Church in Houston. It is where the Floyd family attended. Attendance at the event will be limited due to COVID-19 concerns.
Retired boxer Floyd Mayweather recently announced that he will be covering the expenses of the funeral which is to take place in Houston. He has sent the check of $88,500 to the Houston funeral home.
A lawyer for the Floyd family told NBC News that U.S. Presidential aspirant Joe Biden will be in attendance at the Houston services on Tuesday.
