Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan has signed on to star in upcoming science-fiction thriller Youth.
The movie will be helmed by writer/director Brett Marty and is based on the short film of the same title he wrote and made back in 2016.
67-year-old Brosnan will play an engineer in the near future who is about to retire at the age of 70 when he is paid by his company to undergo a procedure to rewind his body’s biological clock back to its prime.
Unexpectedly, the process goes horribly wrong and Brosnan’s character’s aging begins to accelerate rapidly, leaving him no choice but to try an even more dangerous treatment.
Youth is written by director Marty, Josh Izenberg, and Amelia Whitcomb. It will be produced by Jib Polhemus, Paul Schiff, and Martin Brennan alongside executive producers Laura Bickford and Hannah Leader.
