Disney and Pixar are set to dazzle us again with an upcoming animated movie titled Luca.
The two animation powerhouses have continued to raise the bar when it comes to visual content, and based on the success of their frequent collaborations, it would be safe to say that they can do no wrong.
Per an announcement via Disney Studios Instagram page, Disney and Pixar are making an animated film titled Luca, directed by Enrico Casorosa and produced by Andrea Warren.
According to the information, Luca will “take audiences to a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera to meet a boy named Luca as he experiences an unforgettable summer with new friends.
Luca will arrive in the summer of 2021 and the Instagram post is available for viewing below.
Disney + is reportedly casting two children to play the roles of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa.
The casting is for the forthcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which will see the return of actor Ewan McGregor, reprising the iconic role of the Jedi master.
The Illuminerdi reports that the show is casting two 8-11-year-old children to the roles of Luke and Leia in the Star Wars spinoff that will take place 8 years after George Lucas’ prequel trilogy.
The production is reportedly looking for a “precocious” boy and girl for the roles, and while the names of the characters weren’t mentioned outrightly, we can assume that it has to do with them.
Insecure star Issa Rae and horror filmmaker Jordan Peele are teaming up to frighten us…
The duo is reportedly coming together to develop a new supernatural film for Universal Pictures which is titled Sinkhole.
The movie is described as a genre piece “that engages the question of female perfection and identity”.
Sinkhole is based on a short story of the same name and it centers on members of a young family who move into their dream home which has a gaping sinkhole in the backyard.
The sinkhole manages to take all things that are broken and destroyed and make them perfect again. But what if that thing is a person?
I confess that the plot is one of the most intriguing I have ever come across, and if any director in Hollywood can make something like that sell, it’s Peele.
