Futha Mucka is created and executive produced by Jim and Brian Kehoe who also serve as showrunners. It will be created by the animation production company Titmouse.
Robert Matthew Van Winkle a.k.a. Vanilla Ice will be portrayed by actor Dave Franco in a biopic.
An American rapper, actor, and television host, Vanilla Ice achieved success in the 1990s and one of his singles was the first hip hop single to top American charts.
Per a report from Insider, Dave Franco will play the hip hop star in a film with the title To the Extreme, with a screenplay from Chris Goodwin and Phillip Van.
The project’s progress has been delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and Franco stated, “We have been in development for a while but we are inching closer and closer to preproduction.”
Speaking further, the actor revealed that he had been speaking with the artist.
Rob is such a sweet and intelligent guy and he’s been super helpful in the process of getting all the details correct and making us privy to information the public doesn’t know. Just talking to him I can’t help but think about the rabbit holes I’m going to go down to get ready for the role.”
Below is the synopsis for the film:
From a high school dropout selling cars in Dallas to having the first hip-hop single to top the Billboard charts with ‘Ice Ice Baby,’ a young Vanilla Ice struggles with stardom, extortion attempts, and selling out as he makes music history.”
