Manchester United legend Roy Keane has described Cristiano Ronaldo as a selfish and greedy player who is still hungry to win trophies.
He said that one thing the Portuguese will bring to Manchester United dressing room is his winning mentality which he expects would rub off on the young players.
Keane, who was United’s captain during Ronaldo’s first spell at Old Trafford, explained what sets the 36-year-old apart from the rest.
“I remember when he first came to United, he was 17 and came to Man United when he still had an opportunity to stay in Lisbon, but he wanted to come to Manchester United and win stuff,” he told Sky Sports.
“We’ve seen that throughout his career, Real Madrid and Juventus, and the national team – the guy is selfish and is greedy.
“We put him up there with Messi, these guys, they are born winners and they don’t want to relax. The lads will make their points, but I see a lot of plusses.
“I still don’t think for one second it will mean Man United will win the league title.”
