Barely a week after dumping the All Progressives Congress, Daniel Bwala has been appointed as the spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
Bwala was appointed alongside former Kogi west Senator, Dino Melaye.
Mr Bwala announced his defection to the PDP on six days ago via his twitter page. According to him, the PDP presents a clearer vision for Nigeria and is the only party that has realistic chances of wrestling power from the APC.
Today I officially joined @OfficialPDPNig for the following reasons;
1. PDP presents a clear vision for one Nigeria
2. PDP is the party with the realistic chance of defeating APC
3. Atiku is the only candidate with superior experience to lead Nigeria out of the woods— D. H Bwala (@BwalaDaniel) July 29, 2022
Bwala and Melaye’s new role was announced in a short statement by Atiku’s Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, who said their appointment is with immediate effect.
“Melaye is a politician and a member of the 8th Senate who represented Kogi West Senatorial district. He hails from Ayetoro Gbede in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State,” Ibe said.
“Bwala, on the other hand, is a legal practitioner, politician, and public affairs analyst. He hails from Adamawa State.”
