The Commander of the Police Intelligence Response Team Tunji Disu has won a silver medal at the US Open Judo Championship.
The Deputy Commissioner Of Police, who participated in the veteran category gave a good account of his Judo skills as he fought off stiff competition from other Judokas, most especially world number One, Woods Glen of the United States to achieve the feat.

This is not the first time the 56-year-old is winning laurels in Judo. Disu clinched two gold medals at the 1990 edition of the National Sports Festival in Bauchi and is a recipient of two gold medals at the few Nigeria Police Games he participated in.
In November 2021, Disu won gold at the first veteran championships organized by the Nigeria Police, through his office as the Chairman of NPF Judo Association.
