Fans of Beyoncé are eager to secure tickets for her first solo tour in seven years, as the first pre-sale opened for her UK dates.
On Thursday, O2 customers were the first to have access, but there were reports of technical difficulties with the app and website.
Those who were able to purchase tickets reported prices ranging from £56 to £199, with the VIP “on stage” seats priced at £1,950 to £2,390.
The next pre-sale is set for Friday and Monday, and tickets for the five UK stadium shows will go on general sale on Tuesday.
Beyoncé’s 43-date world tour, in support of her Grammy-nominated album Renaissance, will start in Sweden on May 10th and will include stops in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Sunderland, and London.
The shows are expected to be as expensive as her last stadium tour with her husband Jay-Z in 2018, with standard ticket prices starting at around £51.
However, the VIP packages, some of which guarantee front row seats, are more than four times the highest price from the previous tour.
Fans on social media have expressed their disappointment with the cost, reminding Beyoncé of the lyrics in her recent single “Break My Soul.” Billboard magazine predicts that the five-month tour could earn the star up to $275 million.
